Research Scientist in the Surreal Vision - Oculus VR
David M. Rosen is a Research Scientist in the Surreal Vision group at Oculus VR. His research explores the mathematical foundations of machine perception, including optimization, statistical estimation, and machine learning. He holds the degrees of B.S. in Mathematics (with a minor in Control and Dynamical Systems) from the California Institute of Technology (2008), M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin (2010), and Sc.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2016). His work on certifiably optimal pose-graph SLAM (SE-Sync) received the inaugural Best Paper award at the International Workshop on the Algorithmic Foundations of Robotics (2016).
