Managing Director - Oasis Renewable Energy
After almost 25 years of experience as a corporate officer, Mr. Farouk decided to launch his own start-ups. 2010, Started launched Oasis for Renewable Energy ORE, as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction company. Currently, and as part of the Responsible and Inclusive Business Mandate, ORE is also assisting two start-ups working further renewable energy applications: solar desalination, and vertical wind turbines. For the past 7 years, Mr. Farouk managed several companies operating in the energy field, varying from Energy generation, energy distribution, to Engineering procurement and contracting of small off-grid units (Photovoltaic, Wind, and Solar Heating), as well as training and capacity building in the field of Renewable Energy. Mr. Farouk has participated to several policy reform initiatives (policy papers, review of legislation, policy initiatives), at ministerial level, and inter-ministerial level, addressing Sustainability issues (renewable energy, energy regulation, sustainable development, and CSR), 2010, In his capacity as a board member and co-founder of the Solar Energy Association of Egypt (SEDA), Mr. Farouk participated to the drafting of the Solar Energy policy model for Egypt, in cooperation with various development agencies, experts, and governmental regulators. Mr. Farouk cofounded also “GissoR” network for Responsible and Inclusive business, and mentored several startups, he also participated to several jury panels on innovation, and startups.

solar energy industry is booming in Egypt, MENA, and Africa. Being ready to address this market is essential for interested parties. Training and qualification is instrumental.
